Who we are?
Martina is an architect and Imperial Feng Shui Master, trained as a carpenter and draftswoman, has further training in geomancy, geobiology and has completed the healer training with Axel Philippi.
Roland is a retired pharmacist specializing in homeopathy, aromatherapy, herbal medicine and other natural healing modalities. He is a Reiki Master, Avatar Trainer and has also completed the Healer Training with Axel Philippi.
We made the decision at the end of 2020 to sell everything in Germany and emigrate, because at that time it was already foreseeable what has become reality today (2023).
After evaluating a lot of information, we decided on Costa Rica as our new center of life and to this day we are happy with our decision.
On March 24, 2021 we left Germany with four suitcases, a lot of hand luggage and our dog Aika and have not returned there since.
After traveling Costa Rica for several weeks, we choosed to stay in Perez Zeledon, because the climate, the proximity to the sea and the supply of all necessities offered the most suitable living environment for us, without having to live in the big city bustle of the Central Valley.
What is the Paraiso mariposa?
The story of Paraiso Mariposa began with this house about 30 years ago. Olaf, a sea captain on a Norwegian oil tanker by profession, came here and was so taken by the beauty of the mountains in Perez Zeledon that he bought a large piece of land and built this house. We restored it so that you can still see many details of the original house.
To have more space for us and our guests, the former guest house was extended and renovated from the ground up. The low old roof was replaced by a high roof construction in the shape of a butterfly, which invites a lot of light and fresh air inside.
The whole arrangement is hidden behind tropical trees and shrubs…
… and offers a fantastic view of the valley of the river El General with the provincial capital San Isidro del General.
How are you accommodated?
You will occupy our guest room in the separate house, which you can also rent completely as “Suite Mariposa” with private bathroom, terraces, Jacuzzi, the shared kitchen with dining room and free access to the entire property with meditation path and two yoga decks.
